As the Development Director for the City of Fort Worth, from April 2000 to June 2007, he was responsible for the management and administration of the City's development services activities. Department functions included building code inspections, plan review, zoning, platting and annexation. As Director, he had direct input into annual operating budgets and staffing structure. He can not only assist with the development process but can also serve as a great resource for other municipalities in establishing their development processes and procedures.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture/Park Administration from Texas Tech University in 1977 and an Associate in Applied Science in 1988 majoring in Surveying Technology at Tarrant County Junior College. He also spent hours at UTA and TCU gaining post-graduate hours in Public Administration and Landscape Architecture. Bob spent many years as a Director of Parks and Landscaping for several municipal governments.
Mr. Riley is a Registered Landscape Architect and has most recently consulted on development projects whose clients include BLG Development, Fort Worth Cats, Waste Management, TCU, Camex, and Gideon Toal.
Bob is also on the Board of the Fort Worth City Credit Union and Streams and Valleys Inc. He was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas Tech University, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources in 2006.
